The lady in this story, she has been through a lot! Her husband is in a war and
the only time she gets to see him, is at night time. And she doesnt even sleep,
she just stares at his body and watches him sleep. The theme of this story is
love/ relationships, well there are many reasons why it is love/relationships,
well like she had to put up with a lot of crap for her husband.
In
the book, there is a quote in it, and it says " Its enough for now, you are
here. For now. Under my roof again." That quotes theme is also
love/relationships because it taks about how HER husband being back at her house
again and she always wanted her husband to be with her cause of the war.
But even though the story the husband gets sick and tired of the war, and he
decides just to just leave his post in the army! He uses his wife's house as a
hideout so no one can find him if they go and look for him, they probably wont.
haha
But one day, she comes home. But just to find her husband with
another girl! And on top of it all, they were in her bed sleeping. And my
opinion, I would flip out enough said. But she kept her cool, but she rubbed the
girls hair and sniffed it, that kinda weird but you never know how people
are!
So you can see the quote and the story "Eyes of Zapata" themes
is love/relationships. Because she had to put up with a lot a lot of crap just
for love. But she still loved him in the end.
