Many people appreciate the conveniences of the city. Living in large cities, people can participate in political and cultural activities and see the latest films. With so many supermarkets within easy reach, city dwellers find it easy to buy whatever they need. Also, the city provides its people with better transportation service and health care.
But country life is also attractive. All life there seems to live in peace with its surroundings. The air is clean, the food is fresh, and the houses are spacious with a large courtyard around them. Country people are in close contact with nature. If one enjoys fishing or gardening, then the country is where he should live.
However, living either in the city or in the country has its own disadvantages. Urban citizens are confronted with many problems, such as high expenses, heavy traffic, poor housing conditions and so on. But in the country, far away from the numerous exciting activities, rural inhabitants may feel isolated or bored.
As for me, I prefer to live in the city. First, I can enjoy the conveniences offered by our civilization.
