How to teach the students to learn a poem is important.In my opinion,no poem should ever be discussed or analyzed until it has been read aloud by someone—teacher or student.If you practise reading it twice,once at the beginning of the discussion and once at the end,you will understand what the poem expresses.
In fact,all the discussion of poetry are the preparations for reading it aloud,and reading the poem can learn the suggesting tone,rhythm and meaning all at once.Hearing a poet read his work in his or her own voice on your records is obviously a special reward.But even those ways to teach can not take the place of the student and teacher reading it or,best of all,reciting it.
Actually,I am always thinking that time which is spent reading a poem aloud is much more important than analyzing it,if there is not enough time for both.I think one of our goals as English teacher is to have the students love poetry.Poetry is a criticism of life,a heightening of life,enjoyment with others.It also is a way to express the truth of feeling,and it can save your life.We should place it in the teaching of language as well as the teaching of literature.
I’m not saying that every English teacher must teach poetry.Those who don’t like it should not be forced to put their dislike on anyone else.But those who do teach poetry must keep in mind a few things about its essential nature,its sound and its sense,and they must make room in the classroom for hearing poetry as well as thinking about it.

怎样教学生学习诗是很重要的.依我看,没有一首诗应该被讨论或者被分析,直到被某个人大声地读----老师或者学生.如果你练习读两遍,一场在讨论的开始,而另一次在结尾,你会明白这首诗表达的是什么.
事实上,所有的诗歌讨论都是为大声朗读准备,并且读诗能学习音韵,节奏,和意思在一次又一次中.听诗人朗读他自己的诗,用他或她自己的嗓音,对你的记录是特别明显的的奖励（收获）.但是,甚至用那些方法去教,也不能代替学生或者老师读它,所有最好的（方法）,朗诵它.
实际上,我总是觉得花时间读一首诗是比分析它更重要.如果在两者（读诗,分析）没有足够的时间.我认为,作为英语老师我们的目标之一是让学生爱上诗.诗是人生的批判 ,是人生的提升,和别人的分享.它也是一种表达真情实感的方式,并且拯救你的生命.我们既应该把它放在语言的教学里又应该放在文学的教学里
我不是说每个老师必须教英语.己所不欲勿施于人.但是教诗的人必须记住一些关于它的本质属性,它的发音,含义,他们必须在教室里腾出空间去听和思考.
