那时人们健康吗?
It’s Sunday morning
星期天上午,
Dena Morin and her grandfather, Mr. Morin,
are fishingat the lake.
迪娜,莫林和她的祖莫林先生在湖边钓鱼.
Dena: Grandpa, did people go fishing a long time ago?迪娜：爷爷,很久以前的人们钓鱼吗?
Mr. Morin: Well Dena, we are First National people.林先生：哦,迪娜,我们是原住民.
Our people came to Canada a long time ago.
很久以前我们的人来到到加拿大.
At that time, there were no supermarkets.
那时,没有超级市场.
Our people always went fishing and hunting for food.我的人总是以钓鱼、打猎获取食物.
Dena: Were people healthy then ?
迪娜：那时的人们健康吗?
Mr. Morin : They were very healthy.
莫林先生：他们很健康.
They spent a lot of time outdoors.
他们花费很多时间在户外.
They worked .他们工作努力.
And they ate good ,natural foodlike fish and vegetables.
并且他们吃像鱼、蔬菜这样的优质、天然食物.
Dena: Was life hard at that time?
迪娜：那时生活艰难吗?
Mr. Morin: It was hard.
莫林先生：生活艰难.
But people were healthy and happy.
但人们既健康又快乐.
After a hard day of work,
经过一天努力工作之后,
people rested and played together.
人们一起休息和玩.
In the evenings, they often made a big fire.
在晚上,他们经常生一大堆火.
Some people played the drums and others danced around the fire.
一些人击着鼓,其他人在在人跳舞.
They called this dance the pow-wow.
他们称这种舞为“帕瓦”.
Dena:We still have pow-wow dances today.
迪娜：今天我们还有“帕瓦”舞.
I can’t wait for the pow-wow next year.
我等不及明年的“帕瓦”舞了
