How are you ? I miss you very much. I’m very well. Winter holiday just has passed,I joined various activities in the vacation. Like holiday party, sports, and many very interesting activities which I can join in. This week, I take part in an activity named “Idle No More”. That is a parade about the first nation’s right.
Maybe you don’t know what is the “idle no more” .I will give you a brief introduction. It happened in Canada the last few months. Because the First Nation people lacked living material (like food, land, water) especially the right, they launched a movement for their right and respect for the treaties. Their goals also include stopping environment contamination, the problems in economy and other social fields. Maybe this movement is not very interesting, but it’s really makes me realize the problem between the native people and Canadian government .
The direct cause they launched this movement was, in the last December, Canada passed the Bill 45 to relax restriction to the reservation area when the land to be used by developers. The native people thought that the bill takes away the rights of their using the basins, rivers and lakes and their own land.Essentially, the bill is no only influences the native people’s rights, but also influences another two countries’ drink water----Canada and the U.S . So the movement happened.
From last December to January, the movement has rapidly spread to more countries, a large amount of people joined. Now, not only native people join this movement, even many environmentalists take part in . According to a servery, in Canada, only less than 50 percent support the idle no more campaign, some 49 percent hold the view that they are not in favor of the parade,which disturbs both the society and their normal life.While 12 percent say they have no idea of it .This is no longer the native people’s problem.
In my opinion,the native people are right according to a servery. They have the right to do so.if the government pay much attention to the problem and
