跪求帮忙翻译英语短文~
跪求高手帮小弟翻译几篇短文啊~小弟感激不尽..但是一定要认真翻译哟~不然我会被宰了的.混分的别来了,我也不是英语白痴.
第一篇《NOSE》
The English phrase “face to face” and its Chinese counterpart are exactly the same. But English people, to express the same idea , can say “nose to nose”instead.
The word“nose”appears in many idioms. Here are two which are quite simliar to their Chinese counterparts:“lead somebody by the nose"and"turn up one's nose at somebody or something”
English people can say“as plain as the nose on one's face”to mean “very obvious”.Maybe to them ,the nose is the most conspicuous part of face.
第二篇（没名字）
The mascot is modeled after a lovely young cow.It is the symbol of happiness and joy,and expresses the harmony between man and nature.Fu Niu LeLe is popular as a nascot because it best shows the spirit of disabled people competing in the Paralympic Games.
第三篇 《Crossing one’s fingers》
Crossing one's fingers serves as protection from bad luck or from the penalties assoiated with lying.Thus,when people wish for good luck,they across their fingers and when they wish not to be held responsible for a lie, they also cross their fingers and hide their arms behind their backs.
