fit horse when hounds are running,the nearest thing in my _3__ experience is
fast but inexpert downhill run on skis _4__ hidden rocks and half-buried
tree-stumps,never _5__ when the next chasm is going to open before your eyes,
when the next bump in the racing hillside is _6__ to pitch you out of your skis
and into a long and painful _7__ in a hospital bed.Only with this difference,
that the hidden bumps and stumps are hedges which seem to _8__ up and tower over
the horse’s head,ditches which seem wide and deep _9__ to swallow both horse
and rider,rails _10__ will break a horse’s legs beneath you.And with this
difference,_11__,that the skis have come _12__ and turned into a widely
unpredictable,_13__ uncontrollable animal,powerful enough to kill both _14__
and you in a flash and yet absolutely dependent _15__ your skill and nerve to
guide it.It is to me the _16__ utterly terrifying and _17__ also the most
totally exhilarating experience in the world.I know this _18__ I have hunted,
