【本人外语语法极其不好,请、多解释下.自己认为这个可以是句子,three months是主语,passed是宾语,不对的话说下理由.不然我会不太明白】
完整的句子是：
Three months passed,and then one morning,Sam found his wallet outside his front door.

句子.个人理解,因为没有看后面的句子,所以只能这样理解.
这个是复杂句中的一个组成部分：简单句.
一个简单句是由主语（S）+ 谓语（V）+ {宾语（O）}组成,而有时宾语是可省略的.
这个句子从后来的and then 作为连接词可以看出两点：
1）这个是由词组为连词,连接两个/两个以上的句子组成的复杂句.
2）而three month 是句子的主语（因为我只看到这些内容）；
如果没有and then的出现,passed本来可以理解为pass+ed作为形容词修饰前面的three months；但是由于and then 的出现,只能有一种可能：作为谓语动词,表示过去
所以综上所述：这个是个句子.
