With the rapidly development of technology and science,it is common that new knowledge are being creating and new theory are being established every minites.So it required everyone to update and improve their knowledge system to keep pace with the rate of society satisfaction,and teacher should not be an exception.
To begin with,updating knowledge in time is a fundamental requirement for teacher.Nowadays,student are supposed to get more knowledge from teacher since they are exposed to environment where filled in numerous information and novelty things.When student meet some problems,they tend to ask teachers for help or at least discuss with teachers.For example,in a political class,children often want to know more about political policy which combined with the current events and news,if teacher cannot update their knowledge in time,they couldn’t satisfy the demand of their students and has in no way in qualified as a good teacher.Furthermore,student respect a teacher who are knowledgeable enough to answer almost all the questions they do not know.Therefore,I maintain that it is necessary for teacher to update their knowledge at least in every five years.
What’s more,a good teacher should update his or her knowledge because further learning can make a good teacher re-discover the beauty of the teaching profession.When a teacher swim in their specialized field,not only does them having a better understanding of the certain knowledge,but also it may inspire their creativity and imagination enormously towards the certain unsolved problems in their field.All of this could motive them to better engage in their field.
Admittedly,some people deems that elementary knowledge are very simple and the knowledge system won’t change and thus elementary teachers needn’t to update their knowledge,however,they just ignore the fact that the feature of teaching objective and teaching method are also changing constantly.
All in all,after taking what I have mentioned above,we could safely draw the conclusion that all school teachers should be required to attend course every 5 years to update their knowledge.
