...For this topic I’d like to talk about the person (living next door who is approaching his 70s)
He is actually the neighbour who I talk with most often especially after dinner when people living nearby like to go out for a walk. I suppose I really need to explain why I enjoy talking with him so much since we are not in the same age groups. Well, the reason is that he is excellent in speaking English. You know, I’m going to take further study in an English-speaking country. That’s why I need to take the IELTS Exam. But I do realize that I need to improve my English especially oral English. And he is definitely my best choice if I want to practice speaking English by talking with a good English speaker.
His children are really busy with their jobs and they hardly ever stay together. To spend his free time with fun, Mr. Wong keeps three parrots and, you know, it’s interesting that he often talks them in English. The other day when I entered his room, one of his parrots greeted me with a “hello, welcome to my home!” At first I even didn’t know who was speaking to me...
