2.1foundation
In order to inspect the electric fittings in the foundation remove ametal plate from the ground platform and go down into the foundation.
2.1.1water entry
inspect the foundation for traces of water entry in case of stagnant water ,this must be removedimmediately.Renewed water entry must beprevented by re-sealing the joint between the lower tower segment and the foundation ring from the outside.
2.1.2lines,cables,and cable connections
visually inspect all lines,cables,and cable connections in the foundation for damage and corrosion.Missing wear or edge protecion must be refitted,if required,or correctly positioned.
2.1.3Potential equalization
Inspect the terminals of the ground cable for tight fit.Visually inspect the potential equalization rail for corrosion .If the rail is damaged severely,it mustbe replaced.

Visually inspect all lines,cables,and cable connections in the foundation for damage and corrosion .Missing wear or edge protection must be refitte,if required,or correctly positioned.The cables in the tower body must be tightened and must not sag.

Inspect the tight assembly of the cable support and the tight fit of the cables in the supports.
2.2.3Sockets
Check the shockproof and the CEE sockets for funcion ,using a gauge.
2.2.4Tower lighting/emergency lighting
Check the tower lighting for function by switching it on.Replace defect luminaries.
Check the function of the emergency lighting in the tower and the nacelle by simulating a power failure,e.g.byactivating the fuses in the tower bottom.The emergency lighting must illuminate automatically.If required,the test switches located on the lamps can be turned on.
2.2.5Terminal points
CAUTION
230V AC/400V AC/690V AC Before the screw connections are inspected,the cable harness in the transformer substation must be disconnected.In addition,use insulated tools.
The screw connections in the terminal and connection cabinets are visually inspected and checked for tight fit.Tighten the nuts if required.(Refer to 2.3.3for torques)
