Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m the student whom you will receive.I’m honored to become a member of your family in these so short 3 weeks.This is my first visit to the United States.I feel a little nervous.But I’m excited as well.
The purpose of my trip to the United States primarily is to exercise my English,but also to enjoy the scenery on the U.S.I hope to increase the level of my spoken language when I finish this trip.
I lived in a Single-parent family,my mom and dad divorced a decade ago,and I have been living with my mom.But I think this hasn’t affected my growth.My mom gave me double the love.And I never got into trouble for the divorce of my parents.I think this is their choice,I respected them.
On the weekends,I often help my mother at home wash clothes,do the housework,and occasionally do some simple cooking.
I’m not good at playing basketball :),but I’m glad to play soccer.I join a small group of soccer in my senior school,and we play it for about twice a week.I can swim too.And I think I swim pretty well
I am a cheerful and lively person,very happy to make friends with people.I’m not going to care too much about those little trivia things.And I almost never get angry.You will see my happy smiling face every day 0(∩_∩)0~.
Finally,I sincerely thank you for your hospitality and I also hope in this short 3 weeks bring you infinite joy and everlasting memories.

hello~看到你写这个东西想起我9个月前也有做这件事情!我现在是一名交换生在美国,还在交换期间,不过还有两个星期就结束回国了!我这经验应该能帮到你吧!!我记得我的中介要我写的时候还给我限定时间,好像命题作文那样,搞得我很紧张,在30分钟内写完,要求是,绝对不能提到是为了增进英文,紧记住自己是文化大使就对了!还有要写什么兴趣,爱好,之类的,不要敷衍了事,据我所知,美国这方的host他们有的时候不一定有权力挑交换生,顶多男的或者女的,像我就是中介直接塞给他们的,美国家庭也不会有什么意见,因为他们也不了解你,什么都要试试之后才会知道!一旦美国家庭接到你的资料之后,他们就会详细的才看你的信,那么你提到的一字一句爱好或者不喜欢的东西,他们都会放大式的对待!比如你说你喜欢踩单车,可能第一个星期就会准备活动是踩单车!不过要记住,每个人都有热情的期限的,开始是这样,后面就要注意了!真的真的很不喜欢的,很厌恶的也不要害怕提到,这样他们也一定会很小心的避免!比如我个人很讨厌猫,正好host家有猫,他们知道这点,就绝对不会让猫进到我的房间!我还看到你说喜欢足球,那么告诉host之后他们会很骄傲,一去的时候就会到处跟人说.一个很有用的忠告：我是一个女生,你知道的啦,国内的女生都是不喜欢运动的,我就是这样一个例子,但是美国不一样.到了学校之后,一定要想办法加入学校的什么team也好,否则你会无聊死.像我就是,本身不爱运动,结果以为在美国不运动也没差别,但是我非常后悔没有参加sports team,美国不是在大城市里,住在small town,不玩运动你一定后悔!像你可能还有足球的底子,只要跟教练show你的真功夫,实在不行说你是交换生让他给个机会,总之一定要进!其实作交换生,酸甜苦辣绝对经历到,我没来的时候很期待,来了之后想家,但是要坚强,然后就会enjoy这里,加油吧!
