一道SAT语法题

但我觉得A有错误,根绝平行结构来看,其他one of 后面都是the least,the hardest形容词最高级,就A是副词最高级.问题就是A后面的这个taught很奇怪,不是过去分词teach吗?那是个动词,怎么动词也能后面+of?所以我想应该是个名词吧.但没名词意思

frequently是副词,修饰形容词,taught,过分做形容词,而the taught应该指一类事物,taught不是动词,因为后面有remain为动词,前面应该是独立主格吧!
